DODDABETTA PEAK
Doddabetta is the highest mountain in the nilgiris and the fourth highest peak in South-India. It is 9-Kms away from the citycenter, On the way to Ooty-Kotagiri Main Road. This is the highest point in Ooty Covered by a reserved Forest around the peak.

BOTANICAL GARDEN
Botanical Garden is one of the Best-Loved Spot preferred by all the tourists, It is just Half Kms away from the city-center, It was built in 1848 Spread over an area of 55 acres. The Gardens have around a thousand species, both exotic and indigenous, of plants, shrubs, ferns, trees, herbal and bonsai plants.

BOAT HOUSE (OOTY LAKE)
Ooty Lake is an Artificial Lake, It is the pride of the Blue Hills. Mr. John Sullivan formed this artificial lake in the year 1824 & it is the central and strategic attraction away 3-km from City-center .The boathouse on the lake is a major tourist attraction.

TOYTRAIN OOTY
The Nilgiri Mountain Railway was built by the British in 1908.It’s a 46-Kms track took 54-Years to Build. This train runs from Mettupalayam to Ooty scaling an elevation of 326-m to 2203-m in a time span of five hours. The train No. is 56136 & the tickets can be booked from Indian Railway/IRCTC website or directly from the PRS counters situated in Railway Stations.

ROSE GARDEN
Rose Garden is situated in the heart of Ooty Town, It owns thousands of species of rose and a magnificent city backdrop. The Government Rose Garden is 1.5-Kms away from the citycenter, Situated on the slopes of the Elk Hill at an altitude of 2200-meters.

TEA FACTORY
The Tea Factory and Tea Museum is one of the popular tea factories in Tamilnadu and among the must visit Ooty Tourist Places, It is located 3-Kms away from the citycenter, On the way to Ooty-Kotagiri Main Road. As the name suggests, It has a factory where everyone can get a demo of the entire Tea Making process, evolution of tea etc.
